WordPress 3.3 is now running on this site. The WordPress team continues to provide excellent admin interface changes with each new release. The new improved media upload method is a welcome change. I think this is the one area that new users struggled with the most. Thanks to the whole team for another fantastic release.
Interesting market share study of CMS systems by W3 Techs, which shows how much penetration WordPress has in CMS systems, 54%. That is an impressive lead over the rest of the CMS systems covered, with Joomla in a distant 2nd at just under 10%. The other interesting part is that 71% of websites do not use a content management system. I find this surprising and wonder how many are stuck using a custom CMS system.
WordPress 3.2 is out, along with a new default theme “Twenty Eleven”. You can check out the theme on this very site. Still working out a few bugs in getting my images into the header. As for the WordPress update the most obvious change is the new admin interface. Very slick! Thanks to the WordPress team for another great update.
So I’m actually in the bathroom right now. Too much information? Sorry, but I wanted to make it clear that you can now update your WordPress powered site from anywhere. Even from places that you probably shouldn’t.
